Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves the gentle insertion of fine, sterile, disposable needles along specific points on the surface of the body to stimulate the flow of “Qi”.

Qi is interpreted as the Essential Energy which circulates in the Meridians Paths throughout our bodies. Unobstructed Qi flow assures a state of health and well-being, yet deficient and stagnant Qi flow due to factors like stress, poor long-term dietary habits and external pathogens will lead to disharmony and imbalance in the body, where pain, ill health, and emotional disorders are the physical manifestations of deficient Qi flow.

The painless insertion of needles directs the body’s attention to the underlying condition of Qi flow, and allows the body to heal itself from within.

From conventional medicine perspective, acupuncture produces physiological changes in the body including increased blood flow, stimulation of hormones such as endorphin, opiate, neurotransmitters, and the parasympathetic nervous system to promote deep relaxation and to achieve pain relief.

Cupping and Moxibustion are used to assistant Acupuncture for full and cold patents of disharmony. Both are non-invasive but effective particularly for pain of many kinds.
