The PGcert Traditional Acupuncture (Part-time)
Introduction
The PGcert Traditional Acupuncture (Part-time) course provides a unique opportunity for a variety of health-care practitioners to undertake a practical clinical education in acupuncture. This course is developed to meet the increasing demand for qualified health care clinicians who want to acquire knowledge and skills in traditional acupuncture. The course will be run by workshops with two days (weekends) per month to provide students with a firm theoretical basis, and clinical practice in teaching clinic and Chinese TCM hospital is incorporated to enhance skills and learning. All study days exploring the specific aspects of traditional approach of acupuncture on the course are available to who want to update and extend knowledge and skills as standalone CPD courses without assessment.
Content
The postgraduate Certificate course is made of ‘Traditional Acupuncture Theories and Clinical Studies’ and ‘Clinical Practice’ modules. 200 hours of clinical practice including 100 hours in China will be required to achieve PGCert qualification to allow clinical competence in carrying out acupuncture on completion of the course.
Assessment
Written and practical examinations, clinical portfolio and final clinical examinations.

The course is delivered by a team of dynamic and supportive staff who have extensive practice in the traditional approach and have a proven track record in acupuncture education, you will be able to gain the qualification that can be benefit those in your care as well as enhance your career prospects.
Clinic Placement
To achieve PGcert qualification from one of Chinese TCM colleges, you are required to undertaking 2 – 3 weeks clinical placement in Guiyang TCM college from China. Acuhealth acupuncture teaching clinic provides clinical placement for minimum 100 hours under direct supervision.
